K2 is a 1991 motion picture loosely based on the story of two friends' ascent of the second-highest mountain on Earth, K2. The story is based on a play written and presented as a senior-thesis at Stanford University. These roles were played by Michael Biehn and Matt Craven. The film was directed by Franc Roddam and written by Patrick Meyers and Scott Roberts, adapting the original stage play by Meyers. The music from this movie has appeared to have changed.
The film is rated R16 in New Zealand and it contains offensive language.
Taylor Brooks (Michael Biehn) and Harold Jameson (Matt Craven) are white-collar professionals by weekday, and accomplished mountain climbers on weekends. Though they share a love for scaling mountains, the two friends are somewhat opposites in their personal lives. Taylor is a thrill-seeking attorney and womanizer, while Harold is a married, level-headed scientist.
Taylor and Harold decide to try for the summit themselves. After a grueling journey, the pair finish the climb and celebrate. Their happiness is short-lived, however, as Harold slips on the descent, badly breaks his leg, and drops the climbing rope. The pain is unbearable and he cannot be moved. Luckily, Taylor soon comes cross Dallas' frozen body, as well as his climbing rope and supply of epinephrine (adrenaline) kept on hand. Taylor injects Harold with an epinephrine autoinjector and then begins to lower his friend to safety, several dozen feet at a time. Despite Harold's pleas, Taylor refuses to abandon him and continue alone. They continue to descend until they reach a ridge, where a helicopter comes into view. The men are saved and celebrate.

What Makes Ireland
The main characters in Pic Me include:-
Pic Me is an Irish children’s television show which originally aired on RTE and later aired on TG4 and Nick Jr. channels throughout Europe. Episodes of Pic Me last for approximately five to ten minutes. Pic Me is an innovative show in that it allows its viewers to star in each episode. Every episode has one viewer's photograph superimposed on a cartoon body. These characters then roam around the story, walking, running, jumping, and physically interacting with the main cartoon characters. The viewer characters never speak, and the other characters do not refer to them by name. Instead, they are referred to as "Little Boy" or "Little Girl" as is relevant.
Also, in the United States a spanish-dubbed version airs on V-Me.
The purpose of the show is to help teach children. The viewers learn lessons from the differences between right and wrong (not telling lies etc.) to learning shapes, colours and counting.
Since the start of 2007, many new episodes of Pic Me have involved two viewers, instead of just one. These "best friends" type episodes have the main star viewer holding, or looking at, a picture of their real-life "best friend". Another episode starring the "best friend" is shown at a later date, with the situation regarding the pictures reversed.

On 28 September 2010 Newton died as a result of injuries she sustained in a road accident during her brief holiday on the island of Poros. In November Carol Sharp gathered tributes from the many photographers who knew and loved her, publishing them alongside photographs in a book: Correna (ISBN 10-02009-46454-7)
Correna Newton (1969 - 2010) was the Library Manager of Flower Photos Ltd, a widely respected 'boutique' image library created by photographer Carol Sharp.
As an environmentally aware photography graduate, Newton had hoped to work with an image library with an emphasis on the natural world. Since 2004 she had been aware of the Flower Photos library but only hoped that she might get to know them. She joined the business and her talent was soon recognised, quickly becoming Library Manager. In 2009 Flower Photos downsized and only Newton and Carol Sharp were left to maintain the business, with Newton responsible for day-to-day operations. Universally respected for her integrity and her passion for images of the natural world, she managed to motivate contributing photographers and clients alike to bring the business back into profit virtually single-handed.
